Eric Sun
Eric is a 4th year Biology major from Rowland Heights, CA. He realized his passion for dentistry after shadowing dentists back in his hometown. He joined CDO to connect with a community of individuals that share his passion for dentistry. On campus, Eric is also apart of Alpha Phi Omega. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, binge-watching shows, or going on spontaneous adventures around LA.
James smooth
James Smooth is a 4th year Psychobiology major from Sacramento, California. He is excited to be apart of CDO because he will be around other pre-dental students who will motivate him to be better. He hopes to open his own dental office named Smooth Smiles to serve underrepresented communities. On his free time, he likes to play basketball, make music or play with his dog Scooby. He also serves as president of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
Justin Shafa
Justin is a 3rd year Psychobiology major born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Passionate about making a difference, he joined CDO in search of gaining clinical exposure and contributing dental services to underrepresented communities. He stays involved on campus by immersing himself in dental research at the UCLA School of Dentistry as well as leading organizations such as PDSOP and the Jewish Pre-Health Society. When he’s not hitting the books, you can find him mixing beats at live venues, finding LA’s most unique culinary experiences, and staying active outdoors.
Donya Moshir Abadi
Donya is a 4th year Neuroscience major from San Jose, CA but born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She joined CDO because she wanted to connect with other pre-dental students who share her passion in helping underserved communities. She stays involved as she tutors for Students Organize for Syria and participates in other pre-dental clubs like PDSOP. She is also involved in the Iranian Student Association. In her free time, Donya loves to go to the gym, spend time with friends and family, and go shopping!
Anthony Pham
Anthony is a 2nd year Biology major from Redding, CA. He was intrigued by CDO's opportunities with hands-on experience in dental assisting and believes that the learned practical skills will carry on outside of the club itself within future workplaces. He is excited to continue making fun memories with the other club members and is looking forward to getting to know all of the members on a deeper level! Anthony is also involved in the Vietnamese Student Union as a Family Head, PDSOP, acts as the Treasurer for First-Gen Dentists, and Smiles Beyond Boundaries. Some of his hobbies include going to concerts, running on trails, and watching horror movies!!
IKA VUKIC
Ika is a 2nd Year Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major and a Gerontology minor from Sunland, CA. She is hoping to gain more experience volunteering as a dental assistant for communities in need. She is also excited to get to know an awesome close-knit group of people with the same professional passion as her and going through our pre-dental journey together. She stays involved on campus through PDSOP, Students United with America's Toothfairy, Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's (YMAA), an MCDB Research Lab, Balkan Bruins, and is a barista at Cafe Synapse! Some of her hobbies include cooking, volleyball, trying new food places, and Croatian Folklore Dancing and Singing!!
Nina robertson
Nina is a 3rd Year Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major from Carmel, CA. She joined CDO because she wanted to find a place to use her passion for dentistry to help people in underserved communities. She is excited to spend time with people who share the same excitement and passion for dentistry! Other than CDO, Nina is involved in the Bruin Experiment. In her free time, relaxing and binge-watching MasterChef. Some of her hobbies include running, reading, hiking, and working out!
CHANCE LEE
Chance is a 4th year Biology major with a Chemistry minor from Palos Verdes, California. He works as a research assistant within the UCLA School of Dentistry and volunteers through various outreach programs to help serve the underserved communities found in Los Angeles. In addition, he shadowed clinics specializing in pediatric and cosmetic dental care over the previous summers. He joined CDO in order to meet with like-minded peers striving to become dentists themselves and to further his clinical experience through the opportunities CDO offers. Outside of school, he enjoys playing basketball, reading on the grass near Janss steps, and exploring unique eats in Los Angeles.
Steven Zhang
Steven is a 4th year Psychobiology major born and raised in Walnut, CA. He stays involved on campus through Alpha Epsilon Delta as a certified BLS/First Aid instructor and tutor for Academic Tutoring Program. He joined CDO to gain clinical exposure while also providing help for communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Steven enjoys pursuing hobbies of cars, anime, poker, and basketball.
Mikayla Nazarian
Mikayla is a 2nd year Biology major from Granada Hills, CA. She joined CDO to have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, while also providing underserved members of the Los Angeles community with inclusive access to quality health care. On campus, she is a part of the Students United for America's Toothfairy and outside of dentistry, she coaches field hockey and volunteers for her local Boy's and Girl's Club. In her free time, she loves going to concerts across LA, hiking by the beach, and solving crossword puzzles.
Alex Donnell
Alex is a 2nd year Psychobiology major from Palos Verdes, CA. She joined CDO because she wanted to be surrounded by motivated individuals with similar goals as her. She also wanted experience volunteering in more dental-related settings, so CDO's partnership with the South Central Family Health Center intrigued her. Apart from CDO, Alex is a Best Buddies Peer Mentor, the PDSOP Community Service Coordinator, Leeway Space Pre-Dental Publication Writer and Editor, an ASUCLA Event Staff, and part of Alpha Phi Sorority. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the beach and finding new matcha spots.
Arman Entezari
Arman is a 3rd Year Psychobiology major from Danville, CA. He joined CDO because he wanted to help underserved communities around Los Angeles and is excited to get to know other members and learn about dental specialties! Other than CDO, Arman is the president of the Community Outreach Program, does research in the Sork Lab, and is part of PDSOP. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and hanging out with friends! Some of his hobbies include skiing, camping, and traveling — very outdoorsy! And a fun fact about Arman is that his favorite place to get coffee is Philz!
Nicole Mazaheri
Nicole is a 2nd Year Psychobiology major from Los Angeles, CA. She joined CDO because she truly wanted to help underserved communities to ensure that they receive access to essential care while learning more about my passion for dentistry. She is not only excited for the ability to gain hands on clinical exposure but also the chance to connect with more students both passionate about dentistry and making a difference in underserved communities. Nicole is also the Sisterhood chair of PSCO, a Persian Interest Sorotity, Active Minds, Flying Samaritans, and is a research assistant. In her free time, she loves to spend time outdoors going to the beach and hiking! Some of her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and playing volleyball!!
Savonnah wong
Savonnah is a 2nd Year Physiological Sciences major from the Bay Area, CA. She joined CDO to help make dental care accessible to underserved communities while gaining valuable hands-on experience. She finds CDO a meaningful way to combine my passion for service with her love for dentistry. What excites her the most about CDO is the chance to gain hands-on experience in the field while connecting with fellow pre-dents in UCLA's vast community. Savonnah is also part of Scope PHA, the Igor Spigelman Lab, and is AFVP for Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. In her free time, she loves hiking and exploring the beautiful trails around LA. She’s also a huge foodie and enjoys diving into the plethora of cuisines the city has to offer and is always on the lookout for new spots to try!
